Unusual Designs, Inc. was established in March 2000 as a complete Interior Design and Retail Gift Shop, specializing in window treatments, blinds and accessory items. We are your one-stop Design Service Center, located on the Lower Peninsula in Newport News, Virginia, ensuring customer satisfaction and first class service both before and after sales.

Our Staff is comprised of two Designers/Owners, Anne Fitch and Andrea Fitzgerald.

Both bring over 25 years of experience, each with different strengths, which creates a strong, diverse, and well-rounded interior design team.

Unusual Designs, Inc. holds a Class B Contractor's License enabling us to offer increased amounts of services to our commercial and residential clients.

We specialize in helping people select design items for their homes and offices. We design for our customers' needs, using our talents to help them develop what they are looking for: it may be one item, or a design for a complete home or office. In our shop we sell many different gift and decorating items: lamps, accessories, prints, mirrors, area rugs, wallpaper, accent tables, custom window treatments, blinds, bedding, faux/decorative painting and occasional furniture.
