We are your one-stop design and blind center, located in the Oyster Point area of Newport News, VA, serving the Penninsula, Williamsburg, Southside and all surrounding areas.

Our show room has been created to provide examples of the countless items that can make up a beautiful room in your home. Everything from wall paper, area rugs, accent tables, custom window treatments, blinds, bedding, decorative painting, and occasional furniture is displayed beautifully.

Company History

Unusual Designs, Inc. was established in March 2000 as a complete interior design and Hunter Douglas Blind Center, specializing in window treatments, blinds, accessories, bedding, custom upholstered furniture, and faux/decorative painting. Anne Fitch
Owner/Designer

Anne brings a vibrant style and flair to every design project. Her ability to incorporate different styles, colors, and textures into one overall look is a valuable asset to her clients. She works closely with the builders on new construction and renovations. She loves working with her clients to achieve their vision. “I believe in giving each client the best job I can, to fit their needs no matter what the size of the job.” Anne has over 25 years of expereince.
